Ruri, the Japanese word for lapis lazuli, is known as one of the Seven Treasures in Buddhism.

In this piece, I expressed the stillness I feel in the blue of lapis lazuli, and the quiet light that seems to emerge from within.

Layers of deep blue overlap, while the texture of gold gently rises to the surface.
Its presence feels like a light shining through darkness, or like a quiet prayer.

この作品では、瑠璃の青に感じる静けさと、内側からにじむような光を表現しました。

濃く重なる青の中に、金の質感がそっと浮かび上がる。
